Topic: freeBSD 7 and logitech dinovo mini

Hi

I bought the new logitech dinovo mini keyboard for my mediacenter running freeBSD 7.
I plugged it in an the keyboard worked out of the box. but the mouse and the special keys won't work.

dmesg:

uhub5: <Logitech Logitech BT Mini-Receiver, class 9/0, rev 2.00/2.00, addr 2> on uhub0
uhub5: 3 ports with 1 removable, bus powered
ukbd0: <Logitech Logitech BT Mini-Receiver, class 0/0, rev 2.00/2.00, addr 3> on uhub5
kbd2 at ukbd0
ums0: <Logitech Logitech BT Mini-Receiver, class 0/0, rev 2.00/2.00, addr 4> on uhub5
ums0: 12 buttons and Z dir.

any advice?

Re: freeBSD 7 and logitech dinovo mini

The lines starting with ums0 indicate that FreeBSD has found a mouse, so I think from the OS point of view the mouse should work, so I think this is an X.org problem. Maybe X.org's autorecognition mechanism will see if it you enable (if it's disabled) or disable (if it's enabled) moused, or if you comment out any existing mouse configuration in your xorg.conf.
