Topic: firefox 3.1alpha (shiretoko)

has anybody been able to build the alpha of firefox 3.1 aka shiretoko?

to build it you need to do the following:

/bin/echo "ac_add_options --enable-application=browser
mk_add_options MOZ_CO_PROJECT=browser" > ~/.mozconfig

then set the envirement-variable MOZCONFIG to ~/.mozconfig

type gmake -f client.mk build to start compilation.

i get the following error:

../../dist/lib/libnspr4.a(uxproces.o)(.text+0x462): In function `_MD_CreateUnixProcess':
: undefined reference to `environ'

i'm running FreeBSD 7-STABLE.

cheers.

p.s.: here's a link: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/relea … a1/source/

Re: firefox 3.1alpha (shiretoko)

hi there,

i've finally been able to compile and install firefox 3.1. all you have to do is get the firefox 3.1b2 sources and add the following lines to your ~/.mozconfig:

ac_add_options --enable-application=browser --disable-ogg --disable-wave
mk_add_options MOZ_CO_PROJECT=browser

next thing you have to do is edit toolkit/mozapps/installer/packager.mk. goto line 435 and change "-xtype" to "-type".

that's it. alls you have to do now is ./configure gmake and gmake install.

cheers.
