Topic: pkgsrc problem

patrik# pwd
/usr/pkgsrc
patrik# bmake search key=zsh
Extracting complete dependency database. This may take a while...

100

200

... and this goes on and on for some time. I somehow guessed that it
would do it the first time only, but it keeps doing it.

What have I done wrong?

I followed http://wiki.dragonflybsd.org/index.php/ … use_pkgsrc

Machine is running i386/DragonFly 1.3.7-PREVIEW.

Re: pkgsrc problem

Have been having the same behaviour under NetBSD for months...

Re: pkgsrc problem

i don't really know pkgsrc, but isn't it an index problem, in fact I mean you should have to build an index
to make search... I think it works like FreeBSD ports, or I miss something...

no more pain...

Re: pkgsrc problem

But it did, first time I searched for a package.

Re: pkgsrc problem

man, this shit happens to me too.  drives me nuts, I alwyas have to go to the pkgsrc website to browse the packages.

Re: pkgsrc problem

Isn't there a tool in pkgtools called pkgfind or something? "make search" should work but well, pkgfind is better then searching in a web interface smile

Re: pkgsrc problem

thanks andre, installing pkgfind now smile.
