I've been using OpenVPN on my wireless for quite a while now. Certs, TLS, server cert, etc. seem a lot more secure to me than WEP/WPA/WPA2. It sure will be nice to have it on the laptop since I would like to use WPA/WPA2 as a client. Definitely a good thing.
I also have been using authpf for quick connections of temp boxes, working on a friend's laptop, etc. Also useful to have around for clients that OpenVPN isn't available or not stable (like a pocketpc, etc.).
