Topic: NetBSD sushi(8) is dead
sushi(8) was intended to be ``a menu based system administration tool'' along the lines of HP/UX' sam and AIX' smit. While the visual (curses) appearance was pretty much there, the tool was not very stable, and thus used by few people. After quite some time of no progress, it was removed from the NetBSD base system and moved to othersrc.
The future of sushi(8) remains to be seen, patches can be sent via sent-pr by interested parties.
Out of personal interest, I'm wondering if anyone really used sushi(8) and will miss it. If so, drop me mail and I'll summarize here next week!
Personally, I never used it - and I'm betting KernelPaniced will be happy to see it go too!
